About Kilsyth Community Action Group
Kilsyth Community Action Group (KCAG) is a community-based, independent and non-political group established in 2014 to give voice to the wishes and ideas of Kilsyth people on how they want to see our district develop.

Our activities are driven by a committee, that decides on the projects KCAG
is capable of supporting. Where needed, sub-groups are formed to work on specific projects where committee members have a particular interest.

All residents and local traders are invited to join the KCAG committee or
sub-committees.

We understand how important it is to stay in touch with current developments and remain alert to new issues of concern to Kilsyth. We consult with the
Yarra Ranges Council and the community on their views.

We welcome residents bringing matters and issues to our attention. We consider how they fit our mission and purpose, and how we might contribute. We may become actively involved, we may help in lobbying the relevant authorities, or we may limit our contribution to providing some advice.

Partnerships
We know we can’t do everything ourselves, so partnerships are cultivated with other groups.

We have strong relationships with the Friends of Elizabeth Bridge Reserve and Japara Living & Learning Centre. We also like to work closely with the local Primary Schools and welcome involvement by local traders. KCAG enjoys support from Yarra Ranges Council.
